Budae Jungol (Korean Army Stew) 08.02.20

So my boyfriend and I started a Korean mukbang show just last week and uploaded our second video yesterday. Featured in that video is budae jungol aa the main dish.

Budae jungol is pretty easy to make. Just need sausages, spam ham, tofu, kimchi, onion, korean rice cakes (dduk), green onion with the option of adding in ramen. You can add in udon or whatever choice of noodles you like and any other ingredients if you want.

For the soup broth I used dashima (korean dried laver) and dried shrimp, which is a base for a lot of korean soups as you may have seen in my posting. This was instead of korean beef bone broth.

Once the broth was made, added in 2 tbsp of gochujang(korean red pepper paste), 2 tbsp of gochugaru, 1 tbsp of oligodang and 1 tbsp of minced garlic.

Let that come to a boil then add in the sausage and ham along with kimchi and I added in some of the liguid from my homemade korean spicy radish kimchi. Once that comes to a boil again and the soup has absorbed the flavors, add in the dduk and tofu. Ramen add in when you have eaten some.
